Who Run The Code? Girls!
Did I find them or did they just find me? Because the fact that I finally ended in a new family was just fantastic!

Yep, Generation Girl is here to answer those questions. You surely know that hot issue now is all about Data Science, AI, Industry Revolution 4.0 etc. So, don’t lose it. Know More Before We Start
Well, Generation Girl offers at least 6 summer (and winter!) courses for free in STEM field! Each course will run for one week but will be held for twice within six weeks. So, yes, a lot of activities and a lot of rookies!
I applied as mentor for Back-end for Beginners class. I just found someone shared an email about mentor application, so I just sent them a registration email. Good news, I was accepted. Bad news, we had to prepare the materials looonng before the classes start. But, that was actually not really a bad news, because that way I learned new things and got new friends. So, let’s take a look at our activities for the whole week!
A Lot of Inspirations Create Imaginations
Please don’t imagine our class will be fill with coding only. Although we had seven hours a day and five days a week, but believe me, once you got into class, you would ask for more. Beside coding, we had field trips to different location every week. We visited Blibli, Tokopedia, Gojek office even we visited Macan Museum! We also had seminar and sharing session with different speaker. Really, everyone here was truly inspiring.
I know that you won’t believe me if I don’t show you any picture, so here are some sneak peeks.
So here’s what our class looked like. The event was held in We Work, Menara Astra, Sudirman and it was so comfortable. For a coworking space explorer like me, I loved it. It was nice to go around We Work like that every day :p
Wait, what? You don’t understand how to code at all? Don’t worry! That’s why the class was for beginners and we called you (sorry :p) rookies. We came here to learn. So we provided a very basic materials but the result could make you cry. Even you wouldn’t believe that you just built an app or website so good.
When we visited Blibli office, we had a competition (we also had games and office tour, of course). What kind of start up that you would like to build? They built the idea I gave them a name. Yes, I think you already knew what kind of startup they built when you hear the word ‘Trashvention’. It was like inventing something new and useful from trash. I think this tower trash started to bother the millenials :o
